A description of the idea

I am interested in how circus is setting up,especially before. Now we can imagine how it is moving around the world and organised. I found some old videos on Youtube which show us how to organise the circus in 19th century.

As I can see, a lot of people are looking forward to set up the circus, looks more excited than children, because at that time the circus was travelling around country, they had a chance to see the circus in their town once a year. It could be the biggest events and I could see that people were helping to set up and performers were teaching skills for children before the show. I realised circus is not only in the circus tent, it is started when they get in their town and it is very entertainment as sort of amusement parks. People never feel badly after see the circus usually that is why we can still see it and like it.

I wonder why a lot of stripes pattern are used in circus. I could see it many times when I was finding out about circus. I think there are some reasons using stripes pattern particularly in circus, I got information about it.

In medieval europe, stripes were called ‘the devils cloth’, people imagined bad things from stripes, that is why in the old film, prisoners had stripes uniform. It is kind of stereotypes of prison. Stripes were used bad sign in society. On the other hand, it was used as a lucky charm for protecting from bad things. We can probably get both ideas in the circus, also it is easy to recognise from far away.

Wine  bottle is one the icons of picnic I think because it can share with someone, we enjoy picnic with someone,this is the linking picnic to circus.

I imagine if wine bottle had red-withe stripes, people could play with it as juggling as in the circus, also it is going to be easy to recognise what people are doing from away, it might be a signal of picnic when you find it in a park and could be a meeting -point when it gets waved in the air.
